ABOUT US

The Museum of Narong Waleeporn Intanate Collection (MoNWIC) was launched digitally in February of 2020. Committed to support Thai artists, our organisation collects and promote art work to preserve the visual discourse of Thai art history. Plans for a permanent home to exhibit the extensive collection are in motion, until then, find us at our pop-up exhibitions around Bangkok.

MESSAGE FROM FOUNDER

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our museum. Our mission for the Museum of Narong Waleeporn Intanate Collection is to have an open public space to house Thai modern and contemporary art. Although it is mostly online for now, we have a variety of activities, articles and pop-up exhibitions to introduce our audiences with what’s to come. Until our physical space is ready, our interactive website is built to engage, creating a bigger community for art enthusiasts and patrons.

For the next decade, I hope to continue with my collection, expanding beyond Thailand to a regional collection of important artworks contributing to the modern and contemporary art discourse of Southeast Asia, all the while supporting artists and institutions with our common goals.

I would like to thank my first mentor, Ajarn Damrong Wong-Uparaj who not only became a friend but my teacher who taught me about art theories, the importance of art and the balance of life. Last but not least, I would like to give credit to my wife who has been an extremely supportive partner in being an art patron and helps me to realise my vision for the Museum of Narong Waleeporn Intanate Collection to be a lasting institution for many generations to come.
