Experience the vibrant energy of Urban Contemporary Art that seamlessly blends Thai heritage with a dystopian future. Featuring “Phloeng” (Fire Boy)—a Pop-Character Art that transcends mere aesthetics to become a chronicle of an imagined history, urging us to reflect on the ideologies of our modern world.

Delve into the NEOTHAICIVILIZATION universe through the MoNWIC Museum’s collection by artist KNN.FIVE (Nut – Kanutsanan Khemthong). Meet “Phloeng,” a new breed of humanity born in the aftermath of a collapsed globalized era. While the backdrop appears to be a grand battlefield, it is, in fact, a reflection of the collective soul within all of us in this new civilization.

The works “Sanctuary Angel” and “Sanctuary Devil” represent more than an external conflict; they simulate the “internal war” within the human spirit. The artist conveys this state of Duality through his signature four-eyed character:

🔴 Asa (Morning / Red): Represents compassion, light, and protection.

🔵 Yoru (Night / Blue): Represents the shadow self, rage, and the raw instinct for survival.

Combined with the “Mystical Metal Arm”—a symbol of the integration between a technology of the collapsed globalized world and the new era human body.

These two clashing poles, shifting according to the circumstances, are the heart of the artist’s inquiry: On the day civilization crumbles, will we drive our new world with “the light,” or will we let “the shadow” lead us to repeat the tragedies of history?
