The work of  Inson Wongsam , National Artist of Thailand (Visual Arts, Sculpture, 1999), marks a significant chapter in the development of modern Thai art.

Committed to abstraction throughout his career, Inson pursued a path that moved beyond representation.
In the early 1960s, he undertook a formative journey from Thailand to Europe, an experience that profoundly shaped his artistic language ([nationthailand][1])

Rather than depicting narratives or literal forms, his works explore inner states—mind, nature, and constant transformation.

This wooden sculpture reflects that approach.
Form is reduced into rhythm, line, and mass—
inviting perception through sensation rather than fixed interpretation.
