Street art that feels “tangible,” infused with BIGDEL’s signature sense of cheeky humor.
𝙂𝙚𝙩 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙝 (2022) is an outstanding example of BIGDEL’s distinctive style—one that never abandons its playful irreverence and energetic spirit. The work clearly embodies the identity of BIGDEL, an artist who has been deeply rooted in Thailand’s graffiti and street art scene for more than 20 years.
Evolving from his beginnings of spray-painting on public walls, BIGDEL has developed a unique technique that brings the spirit of street art into the art space. By painting with acrylic on layered die-cut plaswood, he translates the bold lines, sharp contours, and vivid colors of his street practice into a three-dimensional form. This method enhances depth, texture, and realistic light and shadow far beyond what a flat wall can offer, making the character feel as if it is literally leaping off the surface.
The character in this work bears the title 𝙂𝙚𝙩 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙝, directly conveying ambition and playful desire—an essential charm that makes BIGDEL’s work accessible, energetic, and immediately engaging to a wide audience.
