“Within fragility lies balance.”
Vases No. 2 by Thanistha Nuntapojn (2013) is an installation created through darning on glass—a delicate act of stitching fragile vessels together. What seems impossible—mending glass with thread—becomes a poetic gesture that transforms cracks into connections. The work embodies both vulnerability and resilience, turning rupture into a site of healing and balance.

Part of Nuntapojn’s artistic practice revolves around exploring scars, fragility, and repair. By carefully “mending” broken or fragile objects, she reimagines imperfection as a space of meaning and tenderness. In this installation, the act of sharing and linking vases resonates with themes of care, interdependence, and subtle equilibrium.

In line with our September theme, “Balance and Subtlety through Abstract Art,” this work reminds us that harmony is not found in perfection, but in the gentle coexistence of fragility and repair.
